Aloo Gobi Seasoning is an all-natural Indian spice blend from GM Restaurant in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, made for classic potato-and-cauliflower aloo gobi. Net weight: 80g. Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, low-sodium, no MSG, and handcrafted in Canada. It comes mild; add fresh chillies to taste for more heat. To use, toss with potatoes and cauliflower, add onion, ginger, and a little oil, then roast or pan-fry until golden and tender. Serve with rice or roti.

What you will need

  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 clove of fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of fresh ginger
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1 cauliflower cut into florets

Herbs and spices (including mustard seeds), salt

How to Make the Perfect Meal

Preparation

Heat oil in pan on low heat for 2 minutes. Add onions, ginger, garlic and potatoes and cook until lightly brown. Mix in 1/4 of seasoning and tomatoes. Cook for two minutes. Add cauliflower florets and stir all ingredients. Add water and increase heat to medium.

Cook for 5 minutes. 

Reduce heat, cover pot and simmer for 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. If sauce is too thin, cover pan and simmer for another 2–4 minutes or until desired thickness.
